On March 30, within the framework of an open meeting of the Council of the Russian Union of Rectors V.A. Sadovnichiy presented the subject rating “Three Missions of the University” of the best Russian universities in 29 areas of study. Moscow State University took 1st place in 17 nominations and became the undisputed leader among Russian universities.
When analyzing data, the rating is based on data from various sources. Among them: the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the organizers of student competitions “I am a professional”, providers of bibliometric data Clarivate Analytics and Scopus, social networks and many others.
MSU scored 100 points in 12 subject areas: mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, philology and journalism, linguistics and foreign languages, history and archeology, biotechnology and bioengineering, information technology, geology and ecology.
Moscow State University took second place in economics.
In medicine, sociology, psychology, and law, Moscow State University occupies the third position.
